10. Apply your knowledge: Achondroplastic dwarfism occurs when there is a mutation in the fibroblast growth factor gene (can be spontaneous or inherited) that causes abnormal growth of cartilage. This results in individuals with short stature and short limbs but yet their heads that relatively normal in size. Explain how this may occur knowing what you know about how bones develop.
