This week we have read about perjury and obstruction of justice in the context of corporate investigations. Those terms
are associated with civil litigation and criminal investigations and indicate someone purposefully taking an action to
impede an investigation. As a security professional leading an investigation it will be important to understand when
someone you are interviewing is purposefully misleading you versus when that individual has made an honest mistake in
their recollection of facts or circumstances related to the investigation.
