| chose piktochart to produce a narrative infographic about myself. | love participating in artistic modes. It was not until
two years ago that | had to learn how to adapt technology to my uses. | went back to work from being a stay-at-home
mom. When | returned to the teaching profession, the medium of technology had changed the most of any aspect of
teaching. When | was in college, the only technology about which we were learning was overhead projectors and emails.
Upon returning to the teaching field, technology overwhelmed me. Now, | enjoy learning new methods of presenting
information through technology. | chose piktochart because it was a mode that | had not used before, and | wanted to
learn another form of technology communication. | also chose piktochart because it is simply organized and easy to
follow. | have found that in my own life, as well as in my teaching, that the more organized | am, the better | learn and
the better my students learn. The process of learning can often be messy. | found that the piktochart provided an
organized way to manage and provide connections which gave a synopsis of the presented material (Cai & Meng, 2020).

| chose to include aspects of myself that define who | am and the roles that | hold. The roles | chose were that of being 2
mother, a wife, a grandmother, a coach, a teacher, a horse trainer, a riding instructor and a Christian. Each of these
roles are important to me, and they have taught me many lessons. These roles have made me the person | am today.

The information | chose to exclude were details which would detract from the information. The infographic’s purpose is
to give the viewer a synopsis of the subject. If | were to include too many details, such as how long | have been married,
the names of my children, or how long | have owned horses, it would have detracted from the infographic. The purpose
