General Note: This paper’s main focus is on the actual story structure of your selected films. For example, is this a three act structure or five act structure Links to an external site.? What is the ordinary world setting, the inciting incident, climax, resolution, and character motivations? I’d also like for you to try to explore some of the Mise-en-Scene (props, lighting, costumes, acting style) elements of your selected film and tie that into your responses.

Assignment Criteria:

Narrative structure analysis- This style of paper includes looking into the film’s themes, plot, and motives. The analysis aims to identify three main elements: setup, confrontation, and resolution. You should find out or identify what kind of structure your film follows and what effect it creates.

FILM: “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind”

Thesis: In “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” film, we see a teenage boy living in a village with a drought problem. Because of his curiosity and his will to do better for his village, he was able to solve the drought problem. The film focuses on several topics such as grit, the government’s role, and despair for crimes.
