Case of The Millers – Psychoanalytic or Adlerian Theory

Provide a brief introduction to the paper and orient your readers to the organization of the paper.  This is a good place to introduce the case study (Neukrug, 2018) and the theory that will be discussed in this paper. Each paragraph in this paper should have at least three sentences and include properly cited and referenced scholarly sources.

Summary of the Theory

            Provide an overview of either psychoanalytic or Adlerian theory, describing the core tenets of the theory including, but not limited to, the major theorists and underlying philosophies of the theory.

Application to the Case

            Focus on and describe two specific core tenets of the theory and discuss how they relate specifically to this case. How were they displayed in the client? How might the tenets of the theory be applied if counseling the client in this case?

Cross-Cultural Factors and Modifications

            What cross-cultural factors could affect the application of this theory to Jake? How might the theory need to be modified to be culturally appropriate for a client from a different cultural background than Jake? Describe at least one specific modification.

Conclusion

Scholarly and academic papers should always include a summary paragraph to provide a brief conclusion to the concepts presented in the paper. Paragraphs should include at least three sentences.
