Your goal with this project is to create a contemporary religion that exists right now. From scratch. Be as creative (and
humorous even) as you’d like. We’ve now studied a number of religions and traditions so you now have a general idea
for what each religion contains and how they go about their respective &quot‘faith-lives." In addition, you have
some understanding of elements that each religion or spiritual tradition includes. Use your creativity to make up
elements for your new religion

NOTE: Your religion must include at least ONE deity. Atheistic or "anti-religion religions" will not be accepted

For inspiration, you may pick any film or TV show and create your religion based on the characters/plot lines/scene/etc.
Your main task is to describe an INTERNAL power struggle that the religion is currently facing over a particular issue
You are to write 800 words detailing this power struggle WITHIN the religion, along with the tensions this struggle is
causing and how it is being addressed from WITHIN, for good or for ill, Again, you have license to be creative. Your
religion’s main power issue might be that bunnies are trying to take over as leaders of the herbivore faith so they can
impose the Easter bunny as the central deity of this polytheistic religion. As long as the power struggle connects to your
religion and shows how its beliefs or faith life are dealing with this issue, you’re good to go.

Additionally, you will need to fill out @ chart for this new religion. Your chart may use one and two word responses if,
desired (unlike the full chart on Islam), as long as these responses relay the information you wish to convey. Make sure
to address also how your religion’s power issue is either elevating/decreasing or maintaining consistency in your religion
as viewed on the global arena. Meaning, what does the rest of the world think about your religion? Is it a threat? Is it an
asset?

And again, be creative. Wild ideas are encouraged. | want you to enjoy this assignment!
