Part A: Resource analysis
You will complete the provided template Download You will complete the provided template to analyse and evaluate an ICT-based teaching resource that can be used to teach a concept or skill from your teaching area that incorporates one or more Digital Technologies concepts or skills. The analysis requires you to:

identify the teaching resource and briefly describe how it can be used to addresses the concepts you’ve chosen from the curriculum areas;
explain the links between the Digital Technologies concepts/skills and the concepts/skills from the teaching area; and
evaluate the value of the chosen teaching resource with reference to the principles defined in Education Services Australia’s Educational value standard for digital resources Download Education Services Australia’s Educational value standard for digital resources report.
evaluate the current alignment of the chosen teaching resource against the SAMR framework (Links to an external site.), and provide a brief justification for your categorisation.

Part B: Presentation
You will produce a 3-4 minute presentation that explains the ICT skills developed through the use of the resource, and suggests how the resource could be adjusted to cater for the needs of a diverse group of learners. This will involve:

A critical evaluation of how the ICT skills developed through use of this resource align with the Digital Technologies Curriculum; and
A proposal of how the teaching resource might be elevated or simplified to align with an adjacent level of the SAMR framework. For your proposal, justify with specific reference to student learning needs (e.g. diverse linguistic, cultural, religious or socioeconomic backgrounds, literacy/numeracy levels) or school-based/systemic needs (e.g. lack of access to technology, teacher capability).
The presentation will include a recorded narration/voice over alongside relevant information presented in the slides. You must reference any relevant literature during your presentation using APA referencing.

Marking Criteria
Your report will be assessed on your:

Knowledge and understanding of the concepts and content of the Digital Technologies curriculum and the links to another learning area (20%)
Ability to apply the SAMR framework to evaluate the teaching resource (20%)
Ability to identify the diverse needs of students and develop capabilities in ICT, literacy and numeracy, taking into account diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. and design appropriate learning activities (25%)
Critical evaluation of the chosen resource and how it can be used can develop the skills and knowledge as described by the ICT General Capabilities learning continuum (25%)
Ability to communicate effectively through the use of ICT (10%)
