Activity Instructions
The risk management component of the IT security process is critical because without it
there is a significant chance that resources will not be deployed where most effective. The
result will be that some risks are not addressed.
1) Write a literature review with a minimum of 600 words about the development of the
risk Management Standards for cloud security.
2) Critically evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of using a detailed risk analysis
approach?
3) Install and configure the Nessus scanner on any platform to complete the vulnerability
scanning on a single computer and then do it for the network.
Critically analyse the result, by selecting three vulnerabilities, and try to find suitable
countermeasures to protect the system.
