Choose one of the following sport sustainability organizations: the Green Sports Alliance or the Centre for Sport & Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. You will need to look them up online.
In 250-350 words or a 3-5 minute audio/video recording, communicate the following:
What kind of sport and sustainability organization it is (e.g. governmental, academic, corporate, not-for-profit, charity?)
What are its main mandates or goals (up to three)
One example of a specific initiative or activity the organization is doing or has done related to sport and sustainability
Which point from the “Two things sports can do” slide in the PowerPoint lecture on Monday, Nov. 28th relates most to this organization
Be sure to cite the organization’s website and the course material using a known citation style, and include a bibliography
The instructor is available in person and on Zoom during Wednesday’s class time to answer any questions, as well as during virtual office hours Wednesday evening, but you have until 1:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 1st to complete the assignment.
