Historians analyse subjects from varying perspectives drawing on different sources, takingdifferingapproaches and viewing them in different ways. This assignment asks students to examinehowhistorians have approached a particular topic in different ways. Students will explorehowhistorianshave explored one of the following topics: – The Expulsion of the Acadians
– The Fur Trade
– The Loyalists
– The Rebellions of 1837
– Colonial Indigenous Policy Before Confederation
– Confederation
Students must use three different sources (they must be academic books and/or articleswithfootnotes – no websites or Encyclopedia articles are to be used) to assess howthreedifferenthistorians have considered this topic. How are their approaches similar and different, howdotheyoverlap, and how the three historians reflect on the same topic in different ways? Studentsshouldclearly identify the three books/articles selected. Some questions to consider of each article (you do not need to limit yourself to thesequestions):· What is the main argument being put forth by the author?
