For this week’s discussion question, | want you to start working on the written assignment of Revising the poor email
that | posted last week. The final revision of the email is worth 100 points. This discussion will be used for attendance
and for points.

Use this discussion question as a way to brainstorm how to fix the email to be in proper format, identify the grammatical
errors, reword for clarity, conciseness, and tone. Please take this discussion question seriously; most students who do
not take this opportunity seriously, fail the assignment which does effect the overall grade in this class. This is peer
review.

Task

Upload @ Word document of how you would revise and properly format the email. Make the necessary changes. Look at
the subject line. | can tell you that the subject line needs to be fixed. Look at the wording. Is the tone appropriate? | can
tell you that you will need to change the tone.

Look at how the body of the email is formatted? Based on document design discussed in the book and email video, what
is the best layout for the body? Should there be long, essay -like paragraphs?

| can tell you there are issues with grammar, sentence structure, organization of ideas, how the reader is addressed and
the closing/signature.

2. Reply to at least 2 classmates and discuss the similarities and differences in their revision to your revision. Give some
suggestions to your classmates; perhaps they left some of the serious errors in the document,

teams present their revisions and their reasons to the class. | am not going to have you present your revisions to the
class; however, | do want to see the discussion.
