FBO Project 4

Presentations will be in class on November 14th, 16th, and 22nd and due on D2L. One person per group must turn it in.

 

You must find an airport with a vacant building or a place to build an FBO facility.

The type of facility will depend on the types of services you will offer.

The type of services you will offer depends on the existing FBOs or services offered by the airport.

 

Your FBO must have a facility, offer at least 3 different services, have assets, and be competitive.

 

You will develop a presentation to the Airport Authority to justify your FBO at this airport. Presentations should cover all topics related to your FBO and be 15 minutes in length. Do not leave anything out!

 

You will submit your presentation and written proposal.

 

FBO Proposals will include at a minimum:

Airport, background of airport, main customers of the airport, etc.

Location of airport, and location of FBO at the airport

At least 3 FBO Services (MX, FI, Rentals/ Charter, Fuel, and Storage)

Competition at airport (explain services, distance, etc.)

Competition at nearby airports (explain services, distance, etc.)

Assets and values

Political environment (Leadership structure at the airport and community)

Customer Service Objectives- What will set your FBO apart from other FBOs

Training Plans (external or in-house, must explain)

Safety Plans (must explain, not just state safety is number one)

Security Plans (must explain)

Marketing Plan- include an actual ad (print or electronic) and marketing mix
