THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE COMPONENTS OF A COMPUTERJUSTICE

Computer programs are given this name to distinguish them from the hardware of a computer, which includes what is known as machine language . “Software” is an ordered series of instructions.

These instructions are usually written in a high-level programming language that a person can deal with easily and efficiently, and it is closer to the natural language of humans than the programming language that a computer understands, which is the language of the machine .

All code written in high-level programming languages are converted and executed sentence by sentence using the compiler or executed in one go using the compiler .

The resulting code from this transformation is called machine language or target code . Programs can also be written using the Assembly language , which is an encoding of a computer language using the English alphabet. The assembly language must be converted into a programming language that the computer understands using the assembler tool.

• Application programs : such as word processing programs that perform some of the tasks required of computer users.
• Firmware, permanent program, or so-called firmware, which is a small program that controls electronic devices and is stored on electronically programmed memory chips installed on the motherboard or other types of hardware carriers integrated into the devices.
• Middleware : A middleware that controls distributed systems and coordinates among them.
• System software : such as operating systems that share with the hardware of the computer in providing the services necessary for application programs.
• Software Testing : It is an independent field concerned with programming and software development. There are several ways to test the product and ensure its quality before it is offered for use by an individual or group.[2][2][2].
• Software Testing : An umbrella term that includes, but not necessarily, all utilities and application software that work together to test any software package ; It can also be used for other operational purposes . Thus, the testing process is not a configuration or tuning process, but merely a working environment for application programs or subsets of them.

The term software includes websites, software , video games and other programs and applications that are programmed (i.e. write their code) using programming languages , such as C , C++, etc.

System software helps operate a computer’s hardware and operating system components. Systems software includes:

• The operating system
• server modules
• Help software
• Window systems that help a computer user to open several programs at the same time, and each program in its own window or window.

The purpose of the systems software is to help application developers to avoid getting into the details of a computer, including peripheral devices, such as communication devices, printers, monitors, readers, keyboards…etc. This is in addition to the details of partitioning computer resources, such as memory and processing time, in a safe and stable manner
