Question 1                                                                      4 Marks

Create the network given below and use simulation mode to test whether the network is running fine. The IPs given to the PCs should range from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.5 (4 PCs) and the Server should have the IP 10.0.0.1. The subnet mask for the network would be 255.0.0.0.

If the network is configured correctly then all links should appear green and all simulation tests from PCs to Server using PDU should be successful. MAKE SURE TO SUBMIT BOTH CISCO PACKET TRACER FILE AND SCREENSHOT OF FINAL OUTPUT.

Question 2                                                      6 Marks

Setup a network will the design given below. You are setting up a computer network for computing college at UJ Khulais branch. They have asked you to use the private IP range 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.0.255 and divide the network into two subnets. You need to determine the subnet mask that should be selected for this network. The two subnets are for the IT department and the IS department. Since there will be two subnets so setup up the subnet mask in such a way that both networks are catered for and that each computer is able to communicate successfully with each PC on the network. Moreover, if needed the PCs of one subnet can also communicate with PCs of the other subnet. MAKE SURE TO SUBMIT BOTH CISCO PACKET TRACER FILE AND SCREENSHOT OF FINAL OUTPUT.

For this network you will need 1 router, 2 switches, 8 PCs with 4 PCs on each network.

If everything is setup correctly then you should be able to communicate between both networks successfully
