You will prepare PowerPoint slides, you must use PowerPoint.
Presentations are limited to ten minutes plus three minutes for questions. You will be
graded on the content of the presentation.
In your presentation, you will analyze either at least three of the company’s international
markets for the following or at least two markets they are not in and analyze how they
should enter. Pick one or the other. Concentrate on one of the company’s Strategic
Business Units/Divisions.
• How is the company structured (Global, International, Multinational,
Transnational, etc.)?
• Which strategy did/should they use to enter each country (International, Host
Country focus, Global Integration, Transnational, etc.)?
o Which market entry strategies did/should the company use? Which should
they avoid?
• What were/are their challenges and opportunities when entering new markets?
• What, if any, mistakes did they make entering or staying in these markets?
• What were/are the potential reactions of competitors and the host government?
• What type of global strategy did/should the company pursue?
• How did/should the company customize its Marketing Mix (4Ps or S.A.V.E.)?
• Should the company decentralize decision-making? Why? If so, for which
decisions?
• What were/are the country, cultural, and currency challenges and risks for their
market entry? How did/should the company deal with them?
• How do inflation, Brexit, COVID-19, the Trump Administration’s tariff and trade
policies, the Biden Administration’s tariff and trade policies, President Putin’s
invasion of Ukraine, and President Xi’s ambitions towards Taiwan, affect their
market decisions?
• What supply chain issues do they face and how do they respond to them?
