Each module requires you to write a 1-3 page (not including the cover and reference
pages) position paper thoroughly discussing the material presented during the
week. APA citations are expected, an abstract is not.
In this module you were exposed to different conflict management styles and theories.
While some people try to avoid conflict, in reality, it is impossible to have a conflict-free
environment. Therefore, the best option is to learn how to manage conflict rather than
pursue a life without conflict.
For this module, after reading the “Conflict Resolution, Resolving Conflict Rationally and
Effectively (Links to an external site.)” article, reflect on a past conflict you experienced
or witnessed, without providing any real names, briefly describe:
 the conflict
 the styles used by the parties in the conflict
 whether or not the Conflict Resolution Process exposed in the assigned article
would had been beneficial to the conflict you describe
For this, and all position paper assignments, it is crucial to base your opinions and
arguments on research.
Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using a word processor (such as
Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments
that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please
follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.
