Learning Goal: I’m working on a writing project and need a sample draft to help me learn.

Test Plan Development

[WLOS: 1, 2, 3] [CLOS: 1, 2, 3, 4]

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapter 7 and Appendix A from the course text, Software Testing Foundations. Additionally, read the eCommerce Problem StatementThe Top 5 Functional Requirements for eCommerce Websites, and Functional vs. Non Functional Requirements.

As mentioned in the problem statement, ecommerce sites should help students narrow their ideas and purchase the products they want with ease. For this final project, you have been tasked with building a software system and the testing requirements for an ecommerce website that addresses the challenges discussed in the problem statement.

Follow these steps below to complete your project:

PROJECT PART 1

PROJECT PART 2

  • Populate the relevant sections in the SRS based on the problem statement and the requirements identified.
  • Develop the different UML models to capture the key design and requirement aspects of the system based on the SRS document you developed in Week 1.
    • Some of the models should include class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, and use case diagrams.
    • You can use Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, or another software of your choice to develop your UML models.
    • Be sure to include your models in the paper as a figure formatted according to the Writing Center’s APA resource Tables, Images, & Appendices.
  • Identify the details for the different levels of testing:
    • Component tests
    • Integration tests

    • Informal reviews
  • Design the different templates that will be used for these reviews.

    • Tools to be used
    • Examination of the compliance to convention and standards,
      • This will include references to specific conventions and standards.
    • Data flow analysis
    • Control flow analysis

PROJECT PART 4

  • Formulate a dynamic strategy and that will include
    • black-box testing and
    • white-box testing.

    • Exit criteria
    • Test estimated effort
    • Test and risk
    • Incident reporting
