Let’s assume the following:

• You’re reading excerpts from an essay that is quoting from a book called All About Shakespeare.
• The information is all from page 24 of that book.
• The author of the book is Debbie Ross.
• Earlier in the essay, the author’s full name has already been mentioned.

Based on the above information, locate the problem in each of the 4 sentences that follow. Rewrite the corrected version underneath each sentence. (Note: Each sentence has only 1 problem, and it’s related to proper MLA citation format.)

1. Debbie Ross argues that not much is known with any certainty about William Shakespeare’s life (24).
