Identify the primary argument of the reading

Learning Goal: I’m working on a global studies writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Reading attached : American Political Science Review, vol. 107, no. 2: 326-343

Each week you will write a reaction to one of the assigned readings of no more than 500 words. You can pick one assigned reading or multiple chapters/articles together. In each assignment, you should:

• Identify the primary argument of the reading.
• Evaluate the type of evidence the argument is based on. Explain it and assess strengths and weaknesses of it.
• Describe your reaction to the piece in question. How does this reading fit into the readings for this week? Did the reading present information or a perspective you are not familiar with? Do you agree or disagree with the author? What did you find interesting about the reading
