Agatha Wright (Miami, FL) received her BA degree in Art History from the University of California, Riverside, in 2010, with an emphasis on the performing arts, and holds an MS in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University. Most recently, Ms. Wright has been awarded by the African American Research Library and Cultural Center for the Art and Activism Residency. Agatha completed the Entrepreneurship Cohort Certification program at Harvard Business School in July 2020.
Conversely, Ms. Wright has held notable positions with other leading arts organizations, such as Community Dance Education Programs Manager at Miami City Ballet, Head Administrator, for AileyCamp Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, panelist for the Youth Arts Miami grant program, and panel member for the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs All Kids Included initiative.
Up to date, Ms. Wright has created modern and neoclassical ballets layered by soundscapes often categorized as ominous and pulsating. In March of 2019, The Frank Gallery commissioned Ms. Wright to create a unique commemorative work for Women’s History at Pembroke Pines Civic Center. In 2017 the reactionary piece- “Pound of Flesh” (a call to action to end female sex trafficking in Miami) was presented at the Perez Art Museum of Miami hosted by the Miami New Tropic, The Florida Dance Education Organization Conference, Raymond F.
