Learning Goal: I’m working on a management question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

As stated in Chapter 8 of the text, E-commerce 2021: Business, Tech, Society by Laudon – “We live in an information society, where power and wealth increasingly depend on information and knowledge as central assets. Controversies over information are often disagreements over power, wealth, influence, and other things thought to be valuable. Like other technologies, such as steam, electricity, telephones, and television, the internet and e-commerce can be used to achieve social progress…. “

For this project, consider social injustice and inequality based on race and/or class that has emerged as a result of long-standing inequities and is still seen as a problem in modern culture. This project explores the digital divide as it relates to accessibility to technology, and therefore information, knowledge, and ultimately power and wealth as central assets in our society.
