This assignment meets the following course learning outcomes:

To acquire skills on how to plan an entire event

d. Description and Requirements

In this project, you are required to select a topic; you are then required to do the following steps:

1. Write a brief summary about the event that you havechosen.The most important part of this part of the project is to identify the target market, show the importance of the event to the target market and to the community, and show how the organizers plan to execute it;

2. You need a survey BEFORE, and a survey AFTER the event. You have to DO

the first survey, but would add the second survey as an Appendix, listing the

follow-up questions you would ask.

3. Identify the major players in the event (organizers, and the contact)

4. Identify major contributors to the event;

5. Explain the marketing plan in detail on how the organizers plan on creating a successful event based on what they learned in marketing;

6. For the presentation, remember, you do NOT need to talk about everything; the presentation is 3-5 minutes, and should concentrate on the highlights of the project. (9-10 slides is acceptable);

7. A poster for the project adds credibility and enhances visuals.

8. The report should be average 9-to10-pages, single/or 1.5 spaced. This might be challenging but you must think about what should be added and what you can attach to the appendix. The main part of the project is the marketing mechanism and strategies to be used.

9. Can you get a sponsor? Think about a sponsor, and what VALUE ADDED you would offer them to sponsor the event (e.g., you would try to contact Coca Cola, or PepsiCo to try to sponsor a blood-drive event by donating juices and light snacks at the event, IN RETURN for mentioning their name/logo on all event promotions).
