Discuss in depth how the Tanner Lecture conveys aspects of the Pillar and Value

Learning Goal: I’m working on a writing question and need guidance to help me learn.

The following list is a suggested structure for the paper. Write as much as you can concerning your main ideas. You should turn in at least 3-4 pages.

1.Introduction–Identify the “Pillar” and Value you will be discussing in context of a Tanner Lecture and an assigned reading. In general terms, what is the relationship between these concepts?

• Part I–Discuss in depth how the Tanner Lecture conveys aspects of the Pillar and Value
• Part II- Transition toward a discussion of the assigned reading as a way to further demonstrate your understanding of the Pillar and Value
• Part III- Briefly allude to your own personal experience
• Conclusion–Sum up the main ideas of your paper by reflecting on what you have learned about the concept of “Building cultures of meaning” during your time in college. You may to need to review that concept for yourself in the final chapter of Smith’s book.
