Second critical thinking assignment (up to 7 points):

“Critical thinking is that mode of thinking – about any subject, content, or problem – in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully taking charge of the structures inherent in thinking and imposing intellectual standards upon them.” (The Foundation for Critical Thinking).

Expectations and procedure:

You are expected to:

1. Use the videos provided to discuss the social impact of the organizations mentioned below: how they have changed society, including:

Positive (in the sense of good) impact, challenges they have brought about and the prospects they bring to society.

2. You are also expected to link at least part of your analysis to concepts, legacies and/or issues studied since the beginning of the semester.

Procedure:

• Assignment should be uploaded in Word or PDF (ONLY)
• Upload them under “Assignments” on Blackboard— (they will not be accepted via email). You must cite the materials that you are discussing (for example “What called my attention from video XXX was that —  and then you develop your ideas on that specific material and move on to the next one). It is about YOUR analysis, no plagiarism is expected.
• Make sure to disclosure the video or article that you are discussing as you discuss them.
