1. Choose one of the following prompts (A-C) and reread the corresponding short stories with attention to ways that it connects to the theme.
2. Find 2-3 passages in each text that each portray something different about the theme.
3. For each passage, develop your analysis in 2-3 bullet points (each a different idea) about how the passage invites readers to adopt a particular perspective on the theme.
   1. Consider the methods and techniques that the author uses to communicate a particular feeling or idea in the passage.
