Chi Square analysis

For this project you will conduct and report a Chi Square analysis of the reading data.
Step 1
In the Reading folder create a new RNotebook file for the project. Save the file with the name
<your-last-name>_p6.Rmd. Clean everything except the header and change the title to <your-last-name>
Project 6. Save the file and preview (click Preview).
Step 2
Copy over the code and explanations for importing and setting up the dataframe from the previous project.
Make sure the appropriate measurement scales are set for each variable.
Step 3
In the project RNotebook file add code and documentation to answer the following questions:
a. If expectations were for the SchoolSES variable categories to be equal, were there discrepancies in
terms of these expectations?
b. Were there dependencies among Gender and SchoolSES?
For each of the above set up your analysis in the project RNotebook using the 4 Steps to Hypothesis Testing.
Make sure to include and explain the results of assumptions testing.
V
Remember to thoroughly document and explain your work. Do not focus too much on
explaining the R code. That is more or less self explanatory. What is important is to explain
the process and the analysis behind the code, as well as any needed interpretation of the
output.
Bonus Item: APA Write Up (.5p)
Write up, following APA style, all the work you did for all the analyses you conducted.
1
Grading
The entire project is worth 10 points. Both code and explanations will be evaluated.
Ÿ
The bonus item points cannot increase the grade above 10 points.
Turn in Your Work
To turn in your work, do the following:
1. Make sure you saved the RNotebook file for the project to catch all changes.
2. Perform a final Preview to make sure all updates are included in the output file.
3. Upload the two files you generated for this project:
• The RNotebook file <your-last-name>_p6.Rmd
• The automatically generated notebook in html format, called <your-last-name>_p6.nb.html
Ÿ
You can submit multiple files in a single assignment submission by clicking on the +Add
Another File link that shows up in the assignment submission window or modal.
