Analytical Assessment of the Financial Position of a Healthcare Entity

*** PROJECT DELIVERABLES ***
Before the third class begins each student must submit:
1. A minimum of three (3) PDF documents must be submitted in Canvas, each containing an audited financial statement
of a U.S., generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP) compliant healthcare entity, as further described in this
syllabus.
By midnight on the project due date, each student must upload the following in the designated area in Canvas:
2. A Word document meeting all project requirements. PDF papers will not be graded.
3. A print-ready Excel document with work requirements described in Section 3 of the project requirements.
*** FINANCIAL STATEMENT REQUIREMENTS ***
• A minimum of three (3) audited financial statements using U.S. generally accepted accounting principles,
representing a total of 4 consecutive, 12-month fiscal years.
o Caution: Failing to select one entity with 3 consecutive audited annual financial statements with 12-month fiscal
periods will result in a failing grade for the project
• The financial statements must be consecutive fiscal years each reporting a full 12-month fiscal year.
• ALL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS MUST BE AUDITED to receive credit for the project.
o Audited financial statements are not the same as annual reports or 10-K reports, so be sure you select AUDITED
financial statements.
• All financial statements must be separately submitted in Canvas (can be PDF) early in the course, by the stated
due date.
*** FORMATING REQUIREMENTS ***
• One Microsoft Word document per student. Each document must include:
o Cover sheet as the first page, with the entity name and both team member names and roles.
o Footer on each page with page numbers and your last name.
o Clearly label sections in your paper referencing all project requirements.
o APA formatted references if any are used.
▪ Note: The financial statements do not need to be referenced
