ORAL PRESENTATION
This is a mandatory activity. Each student must do one, 10 minutes presentation during the course of the semester, based on a topic chosen by the student or assigned by the professor. He/she must choose from a list of topics provided by the professor. Research will be necessary. The presentation must have at least three sources of information. Books, websites, magazines, professional journals, local newspaper, and Hispanic electronic newspapers may be used as references. The student will be evaluated in different aspects of an oral presentation (a rubric will be given). Keep in mind that the presentation should not be read! PowerPoint or any other similar form of presentation may be used. If a video is included, it should not be over one minute. Credits must be given to the sources of pictures and other information. Copying someone else’s presentation is plagiarism, and this is an academic viola(on that is punishable. The presentation should not have been previously used in any other class in the University or elsewhere.
